george ryan indictment

although he is a hero to many people for his oppostiton to the death penalty, he is a crook of the oh so ordinary political stripe. the local npr station is reporting that the us attorney for illinios will indict george ryan for corruption today.
i have born a grudge against him for years, as he was the floor manager who pretty personally defeated the era in illinois, which killed it. now, i still marvel at the stealth of dirty tricks and massaging of the media that allowed him to win, even tho his opponent had news footage of a flaming minivan full of children, directly attributible to ryan, to campaign in front of.
