1. which means any time in the next ten years
I mean really, if he had to wait to find the WMD, it would be a job he could never leave.

2. He could drop dead as a very old man and STILL not find any "WMD"
Y'know, Kay looks like a real dip-stick since he has not been able, in almost a YEAR, to find these weapons that Saddam could supposedley whip out and use in less than an hour...

8. Not to mention 120,000 US troops (and 10,000 other 'coalition')
Oh, wait! They found a decrepit old guy in a rabbit hole (pardon me, a 'spider hole' (who dreamed up THAT one?) with satellite links, cell phones, computers, "insurgency plans", and blueprints for WMDs. Uh,
maybe not.

4. Some of the WP story
By Dana Priest and Walter Pincus
(c) 2003, The Washington Post

WASHINGTON — The head of the U.S. effort to find weapons of mass destruction, David Kay, has told administration officials that he plans to leave before the Iraq Survey Group's work is completed and could depart before February, U.S. military and intelligence officials said.

The move comes as more of Kay's staff has been diverted from the weapons hunt to help search for Iraqi insurgents, and at a time when expectations remain low that any actual weaponry will be discovered.

Kay requested the change for personal and family reasons, officials said. When he accepted the job in June, they said, he expected to quickly find the expansive evidence that the administration had claimed as its primary reason for going to war. Rather, Kay's preliminary report in October said the group had so far discovered only that Iraq was working to acquire chemical and biological weapons, had missile programs under various stages of development and possessed only a rudimentary nuclear program.

Two officials confirmed that Kay is planning on leaving early, and said the question remaining is how soon. Kay, who is on holiday leave in the Washington area, could not be reached for comment.

14. It doesn't matter
Didn't Bush tell Diane Sawyer that it doesn't matter if we find WMD or not?

20. What he said:
DIANE SAWYER: But stated as a hard fact, that there were weapons of mass destruction as opposed to the possibility that he could move to acquire those weapons still —

PRESIDENT BUSH: So what's the difference?

DIANE SAWYER: Well —

PRESIDENT BUSH: The possibility that he could acquire weapons. If he were to acquire weapons, he would be the danger. That's, that's what I'm trying to explain to you. A gathering threat, after 9/11, is a threat that needed to be de — dealt with, and it was done after 12 long years of the world saying the man's a danger. And so we got rid of him and there's no doubt the world is a safer, freer place as a result of Saddam being gone.

10. No WMD's--Blix
Today Dec.17 2003, Tim Sebastian spoke to the former UN Chief Weapons Inspector Hans Blix, to ask him whether he believed wespons of mass destruction would ever be found in Iraq...

Blix said he remained certain that none would be found in Iraq.

Is that clear enough?

11. See ya!
Kay requested the change for personal and family reasons, officials said.

Man, it never fails! Whenever the walls start closing in on you, play the ever-dependable family card. When Dave went in all hell was suppose to break loose in favor of the cabal. He can’t leave just yet. Dave promised the American people actual evidence of WMDs; a little chemical here; a little biological there; and a little conventional to fill in the gaps.

Dave seemed to have lost some of his earlier bravado. What went wrong Dave?

Oh, and don’t let the door hit your arse on your way out!

19. no, no:--they're putting O.J. on the case
There was a rumour that the real killer stole Saddam's WMDs. Kissinger has another appointment--apparently half the world wants him dead, and he's busy killing off the other half just to be safe.

17. May have already been planted...
UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has said US-led teams has found massive evidence of a huge system of clandestine laboratories and plans to develop long-range ballistic missiles in Iraq.

Blair did not go into detail, but a spokesman for the prime minister on Tuesday said the findings were part of an interim report produced several months ago by the Iraq Survey Group, which is hunting for weapons of mass destruction.

,...(Cover Your A**) 'cause he cannot fulfill his duty/obligation to find any WMDs per that command by the PNAC neo-cons. He has to save his own butt and get out now.

24. Step Down?!?!? He Should Be Fired!
The same idiots who hired this guy said they had PROOF of WMD's. And, with that PROOF, this idiot can't find them anywhere, despite the fact that he's got a military escort everywhere he goes, and the whole country has been under sattelite surveillance for 18 months.

He is incompetent. Fire him now, Li'l Georgie.
