Saudis ban imports of teddy bears

Saudi Arabia has banned the importation of female dolls and teddy bears, giving merchants three months to dispose of such stock, said a state-controlled newspaper yesterday.

Prince Nayef, the interior minister, ordered the ban which was relayed around the country by the national Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Al-Riyadh.

The daily gave no reason for the ban, which could not be confirmed with government officials.

They see how nut-so Murkans go over Teddy Bears dressed up like soldiers, cops, firefighters,etc. and figure there must be some occult power in them.Every disaster where people are inclined to make shrines at the site, especially if there's children involved, what do you see? 100's of Teddy Bears.

Since there's a movement afoot to remove any vestige of past Progressive leaders in the US, I figure it's only a matter of time before "Teddy Bears" are banned and replaced by "Ronnie Bears."
