BAGHDAD, March 3 (Reuters) - A U.S. air strike killed senior insurgents suspected
of targeting American helicopters in Iraq, and the Iraqi government said 39 militants
had been killed in volatile western Anbar province in recent fighting.

The U.S. military said on Saturday the air strike took place on Friday north of
Baghdad near the town of Taji, which is home to a major U.S. air base. It said
weaponry, including a vehicle mounted with anti-aircraft artillery, was destroyed.

"Coalition forces believe key terrorists were killed during the air strike ...
Intelligence reports indicated this network is responsible for threats to coalition
aircraft," the military said in a statement without elaborating.

The Iraqi Defence Ministry said in a statement Iraqi security forces had killed 39
militants in the vast western province of Anbar on Friday and had detained 30 others.

12. Why? They're defending their own country!
I imagine that if some foreign power marched into our country and set up an occupation, we'd be fighting back pretty hard also. These "insurgents" are defending their OWN country against us. These particular fighters are targeting our military forces - legitimate targets, IMHO.

2. Are there no low-level insurgents? How does the US military always
know that they're killing 'high level' insurgents? Or is that term good for everyone from a child in his bed to a guy with an AK-47?

5. The Pentagon's record of accurate reporting in Iraq.
The arab news posts online are far more likely to tell the truth than the Pentagon. We KNOW the Pentagon is lieing to us regularly.

WMD's, chemical weapons trucks, Abu Gharaib, Fallujah, IED's, EFP's, casualty figures, civilian death counts, Walter Reed; when hasn't the Pentagon lied to us?

Here's the BS:

"Coalition forces believe key terrorists were killed during the air strike ...

Whenever you see this, don't believe it.

So, what the fuck is going on here?

In this fairy tale, everyone is accounted for. We have:

- Al Qaeda
- senior insurgents
- insurgents
- militants
