Union members speak out for Clinton

By Julie Goodman, Montgomery Advertiser

SELMA — Barack Obama fought his way through a swarm of supporters as he entered the church this morning. “Mr. President!” one man with a camera called. “Hey, what’s going on,” Obama replied.

But not everyone was taken by Obama’s star power. Several union members said they were there to support Hillary Clinton.

“I didn’t know Obama was going to be here,” Mike Morgan joked, adding that he finally caught on when he saw a guy with a Bama hat on, and he’d put an “O” in front of it.

Morgan, a Montgomery representative from the retail, wholesale department sales union, which represents 20,000 members in Alabama and nearby states. “We are not anti-Obama, but right now we feel that Hillary is leading the way,” said Randi Hadley, another union representative who drove from Huntsville for the event.

2. Wasn't it also a union that backed Traitor Joe in the elections? Makes you wonder...
...if the union leadership are still working for their members, or for their superiors?

Wasn't Bill Clinton also in favor of NAFTA and CAFTA? How is that "union friendly"?

6. Yeah, you'd think unions wouldn't support those destroying their livelihood.
NT!

7. Bill "Campaigned on worker protections in NAFTA, then dropped them once in office" Clinton?
If so, they have very short memories.

4. Two union members:
1) Mike Morgan
2) Randi Hadley

In a related news event, two bus drivers in Hartford have recently expressed their liking for Chris Dodd.

9. That helps explain why unions aren't doing very well in Alabama.

Down there they support the politicians who work against them, I suppose.

And then they cry that they were stabbed in the back and that Dems are no different from Repukes (even though they fought against the different Dem in the primary).
