Menendez Planning to Endorse Dean for President

Thursday, Dec. 18; 10:41am

House Democratic Caucus Chairman Bob Menendez (N.J.) will endorse the presidential campaign of former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean although the specific timing of the announcement has not yet been set, according to Capitol Hill sources.

2. this is a very significant endorsement
and Menendez may end up being on Dean's list of VP if he considers a latino since Bill Richardson has said he won't run for VP.

U.S. Rep. Elijah E. Cummings has announced he is endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean, former governor of Vermont.
Cummings, whose 7th Congressional District includes Catonsville, cited Dean's commitment to creating well-paying jobs, affordable health care and quality public education.
Cummings, who chairs the 39-member Congressional Black Caucus, emphasized that his decision to endorse and support Dean is one that he reached as an individual.
