1. Ah, will this be the story to replace Nightline's coverage of
whether 9-11 could have been prevented?

We shall see....

3. They are saying the alleged acts happened after the kid had cleared him
Edited on Thu Dec-18-03 04:59 PM by glarius
in an earlier investigation....This makes no sense to me...Why would Jackson be so dumb as to be cleared by a supposed victim and then a short time later actually commit the acts on the same child....This does not add up to me....Am I missing something?...Surely Michael Jackson is smarter than that?

11. He was cleared in a state investigation from another agency
I think the DA is discrediting that agency's findings.

15. He wants tourists in Santa Barbara remember
He even said the city needed the money (like, what city doesn't) so he's going ahead with it no matter what. What a toad.

7. case without merit but nice timing for the bushies
I haven't seen anyone arrested on so little factual evidence in over a decade.

Nice timing though...knock Clark out of the news with his testimony against a real genocidal maniac. Knock Kean out of the news with his accusation that the Bushies fell down on the job and let 911 happen.

And all that has to happen is that a naive and too soft-hearted man has to go to prison...

it will be interesting to see if this makes it past the prelim.

12. I'm sure nobody cares, but I have a gut feeling that he is innocent.
Call it ESP or woman's intuition, but I have an inner feeling that the charges are unjust. And I am not a Michael Jackson fan.

17. I would agree too...
The other issue is why did the mother continue or any other parents continue to allow their children to visit him?

The mother should be charged with child neglect if this is true.

Personally, I think she is trying to any type of financial benefit that she can obtain. It wouldn't have to be a payoff from MJ it could also be a book deal.

19. Yeah, me too
I don't believe for a minute that he is guilty. This whole thing is a scam for money and a vendetta by a DA who wants revenge because he couldn't get Jackson a decade ago. :grr:

13. It's hard to know how to feel about this case . . .
. . . but one thing is certain. That kid would have to be the best liar, actor, whatever to be able to withstand the brutal grilling that this trial promises to deliver, without breaking. He has no choice but to testify on the stand. I'm sure he will be subjected to lie detector tests, psychological examinations, etc. And from the very best people in the field, not to mention the harsh cross examinations due to come from the defense attorneys. So, if that kid is lying, he had damn well be the very best at it.

18. Sneddon is the absolute worst spokesman for his case
He comes off like Strom Thurmond at his worst. I thought the D.A.'s office just hired a PR firm. If Sneddon is allowed to hog the spotlight, which he obviously loves, Jackson will walk. Sneddon wants this conviction too badly.

This is almost like the Clinton case. The people pursuing Jackson turn people off more than the alleged crime does.

22. RIP, Tinfoilhats
If one had speculated a year ago that events like the Jacko charges were being manipulated to direct attention away from things that the Regime didn't want covered in the media, one would have been roundly flamed here as a tin-foil-hatter, a conspiracy theorist.

Notice how that rarely happens anymore? We're through the Looking Glass, aren't we!
