Gonzales to go to Capitol Hill 'later this week'

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is expected to go to the Hill "later this week and next week" to further explain the US attorney dismissals, according to Justice Department officials.

The officials had no immediate information on who he would meet with and whether those meetings would be public.

4. All this being held accountable and have to answer to someone
besides bush must really suck for all the little criminals in the worst administration in history. I wish them excellent health. Wouldn't want them to miss a subpoena.

He'd be crazy to do that. He'll resign first.

10. Probably right. It won't be a affirming experience if he testifies.
Do you know Bill Cosby's Lone Ranger routine?

Gonzales would have a "Nice to have you in town, Tonto" moment.

Patrick Leahy had the fiercest eyes I've ever seen on him on The News Hour last night. I think his staff is already set to go on the questioning.

11. Further explanation?
You know, my daddy always told me that if you told the truth from the get-go, you usually didn't have to explain yourself further. You might be asked to supply a little more detail, but once you told the truth, there was nothing else to do about it.

On a related note, the picture of Mr. Gonzales this morning on the front page of the New York Times just screams non-verbally "I am lying." Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the photo at the Times' website.

14. The second one
I've seen eight-year-olds standing in the principal's office at a parochial school with more self-assurance.
