Campaign Headquarters Re-opens

John Edwards for President Deputy Campaign Manager Jonathan Prince released the following statement today about the reopening of the campaign headquarters in Chapel Hill. Yesterday, the headquarters office was evacuated after receiving a letter with white powder.

"The test results of the white powdery substance received yesterday have come back negative, and the authorities have informed us that it is safe to return to the office.

"We want to thank the Chapel Hill police office and other authorities involved for their assistance. We look forward to returning to the office and focusing on our campaign to change America."
