U,S. probe faults BP, safety agency in 2005 blast
HOUSTON, March 20 (Reuters) - An unsafe culture that pervaded London-based BP Plc. <BP.L> was behind a deadly explosion at the company's Texas oil refinery in 2005, and the U.S. agency charged with worker safety failed to spot the warning signs, federal investigators said Tuesday.

The draft final report from the U.S. Chemical Safety Board was the first to assign a share of blame to the U.S. government for the worst U.S. industrial accident in decades, killing 15 workers and injuring 180 others.

I guess I just thought the findings were worthy. Hopefully the families will reap some benefits of the report as well as safety issues being taken seriously in the future.

4. Seriously, the article should be read by everyone, even if there's no

surprise in what it says. Because what it comes down to is now we are the witnesses to the great crimes of this administration, and if we somehow find our way out of this mess we have to make sure this never happens again. And part of making sure is to know exactly what their crimes are, who their associates are, and who either does or does not attempt to hold them responsible.

Sheesh! We thought we'd seen it all with Nixon and Reagan and bush I. Those guys were amateurs compared to this crowd.
