WASHINGTON (AP) - Presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton declared Wednesday that if you look up the word "feminist" in a dictionary, you'll find her.

Clinton received the endorsement of the National Organization for Women, a group of half a million members who support feminist candidates for elective office.

Asked if she viewed herself as a feminist, Clinton said by the standard definition, yes.

"If you look in the dictionary, the word feminist means someone who believes in equal rights for women in society, in the economy, the political process - generally believes in the equality of women. And I certainly believe in the equality of women," she said.

1. We will see if she can carry her power
into the Presidency. She knows all the games and can play against the republicans with force.

5. LOL wow I have to say
I hate that CLinton is usually so mealy mouthed and I love that she came out and embraced feminism...definately points for Hillary in my book! NOW is a very powerful organization on the Left. If she locks up NOW, Emily's List, and NARAL she is going to be VERY difficult to beat. I would say these feminist organizations ar enow more powerful than many of the unions..

7. It's nice to see a politician dare to use the f-word.
I'm especially pleased that she reminded people of the meaning of the word "feminist." If she can also support abortion rights and birth control unequivocally and unapologetically, she may change the tone of the 2008 campaign.
