Key Rove aide fingered in US Attorney investigation to step down; Could face subpoena
Michael Roston

Multiple sources reported today that a top aide to President George W. Bush's key adviser Karl Rove will soon step down from her job in the White House. The aide, Sara M. Taylor, was identified in yesterday's hearing with a former top Justice Department official as seeking the resignation of a US Attorney in Arkansas. She could still face a subpoena, RAW STORY learned.

Last week, the House and Senate Judiciary Committees authorized subpoenas of Scott Jennings, a deputy to Taylor, who is a top aide to Karl Rove. A House Judiciary Committee aide told RAW STORY she could still face a subpoena today.

"The people for whom subpoenas were authorized were a result of the document review, and it could be could be that Jennings' name was more prevalent," said a House Judiciary Committee aide. "Other subpoenas can be authorized or issued should any other names come up."

Taylor and Jennings were both fingered yesterday by Kyle Sampson, the former chief of staff to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, as playing key roles in the elevation of Tim Griffin, a top staffer in the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign and a Army Judge Advocate General, as the interim US Attorney for Arkansas in place of Bud Cummins.

2. Gotta love Karma....
It looks like it's starting to unravel for the Bushies,
but that only serves to make me fear an attack on Iran all the more.

35. Would this be a figurative noose starting to tighten around kkkarl's neck?
Does he feel the floodwaters lapping at his ankles? Maybe moving up to his knees if this little cookie has to walk the plank?

Well, well, well. Yes, we DO love Karma.

And yes, it leads me to worry about what desperate men might feel themselves driven to do. Maybe their gamble will be that it'll force people to come together again to "unite around their 'president' in time of war." But already, with the Iraq War opposition gaining so significantly in stature and relevance and impact, I wonder if the public would embrace the idea of another war. Especially when there's plenty we know now about what our troops have been put through, on AND off the battlefield. The ground hasn't been softened up to be receptive to another war. We already mostly hate the one we're stuck in already. And there's SO much out there in the mainstream media about how our military is pushed to the limit, stretched to the breaking point by bad policy, bad decision-making, and bad management. Yeah. Just what we want now is another war. It might have been a shrewd political tactic a couple of years ago, maybe around the 2004 elections. MAYBE even as we approached the 2006 midterms. But not now. I don't think it'll work.

But I'd LOVE-LOVE-LOVE to see kkkarl painted into a corner, surrounded by ravenous wolves, and no way out. And he's fattened up again nicely since last year when he thought Patrick Fitzgerald had him by the balls.

17. Her WH salary is something like $135k per year, J. Scott Jennings is more
Edited on Fri Mar-30-07 12:22 PM by bobthedrummer
Susan Bonzon Ralston was around $160k, then there's Jennifer Farley, Barry Jackson, Ruben Barrales, and a whole lot of other folks former or current WH staff that have names and are also on lists have got to be held accountable-and that's just Karl's shop, then there is the DoD (realpolitik), DoJ, the intelligence community, the "contractors", and it just "trickles down" to our local school boards and everywhere a political office is held.

God only knows what they got from the black budget and bribes.

Since the WH is the visible command center of the total "war president" and his loyal Bushies, and the people's searchlight is focused on them- now the shadow government strongholds are being lit up too (as they never thought they would be-from within).

So said the article...Nothing to see here, move along...
OTOH, I hope they save the "funny" footage from the Radio correspondents dinner - especially the part where W tells Rove "You're fired". it's one of the jokes that gets funnier with the passage of time...

32. notice how all these "top aides" are about 25 y.o.? Big campaign contributors' kids?
It's clear these "aides" are nothing but young go-fers for BushCo, yet they're not placed as interns in the WH or agencies but in high-up positions just under bigwigs like Rover and Gonzo. They're so young they're not likely to cause "trouble," as other, more seasoned veterans might. :eyes: :puke:
