House Committee requests deposition of former Rove assistant in connection with Abramoff (Ralston)

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee today requested that former Special Assistant to the President Susan Ralston present a deposition on April 5 as part of the committee's ongoing investigation into the connection between the White House and lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

The Committee found that Ralston had 69 contacts with Abramoff or his associates during that time, according to a letter sent by Committee Chair Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA).

The following letter, sent to Susan Ralston on Friday, was received by RAW STORY.

5. closing in on Rover--the ass is TOAST soon. Then on to his bosses.

Sampson's testimony basically is that HE was only the aggregator of the list for the AG firings. If that is true (I know, big IF), then someone else was deciding on the AGs to get rid of. We can surmise that was Bush's brain, Rove, or at least he was one of the deciders.

Now we have Ralston being called up for testimony about (at least ) 69 WH-Abramoff contacts. She was exec. ass't to Rover & it's likely she'll implicate him, unless she pleads the 5th. Rover was also implicated in the LIbby trial as one who was involved in outing Plame but not blamed for it.
