Diana was pregnant at time of her death, says top policeman

21 December 2003

A senior police source in France has told The Independent on Sunday that Diana, Princess of Wales, was pregnant at the time of her death following a road accident in Paris six years ago.

The source - who saw all the documents relating to the case surrounding the Princess's death - dismisses suggestions that there was any murder conspiracy before the death of Diana, her friend Dodi al-Fayed and their driver in a car crash on 31 August 1997.

<snip>

However, the source revealed to The Independent on Sunday that there was "a cover-up of sorts" in the days following the crash. Medical reports, which have never been made public, showed that Diana was pregnant at the time of her death. "I can tell you that she was pregnant," the source said.

<snip>

The source implied that Diana's pregnancy was hushed up to spare the embarrassment of her family. Since it was not regarded as relevant to the causes of the accident, or her death, it was not mentioned at the end of the two-year judicial investigation into the crash by a French judge, Hervé Stephan.

I don't know, the Independent is usually a very reliable source for news so that is why I posted this. If this is true, then there would be even more reason to believe that the someone in the royal family decided it was time to get rid of their 'problem' child. I don't doubt that the drive was drunk and/or drugged but it is possible that someone could have slipped him a mickey.

1. But, didn't her butler say recently that she wasn't pregnant?
And, didn't he say that Diana told him everything?

I just don't know who to believe anymore.

17. The bodyguard said she wasn't pregnant
I read Trevor Rhys-Jones' book, and it was stated somewhere in that book that she wasn't pregnant.

7. I agree. The woman died a horrible death
way before her time. And if that was a murder, it was the best-planned, luckiest murder in history.

8. Have to agree
Whether she was or wasn't, the real answer doesn't matter now. Whatever the real truth is, it's only important to her children.

My only hope is that they are aware of the full truth.

18. No, not really.
Apparently he was pretty good at getting wasted all by himself. Lots of people think they can drive drunk, and do, right up until they kill themselves and the family in the oncoming car. This kind of thing is just all too common for me to think it was anything other than one more drunken wreck.

check out the links here, at Mohammed al Fayed's offical website:

I'm pretty much agnostic about this one, regarding conspiracy, but here's a curious thing: a few weeks prior to the accident, the Mercedes was stolen from the garage of the Ritz hotel. Police recovered the car but found that its instrumentation had been tampered with. There is a reputed CIA document which states that the car was rebuilt to respond to external radio controls. http://www.skolnicksreport.com/diana-dodi.html

The source of the document, Oswald LeWinter, claimed to be a CIA operative, but was sentenced to four years on fraud charges in 1998. But LeWinter still claims the document is genuine, saying "I had a choice at my arrest to identify the documents as genuine or as fakes. If I said genuine, I would face charges in the US of high treason, so I said they were forgeries and was arrested for fraud." (From The Octopus, by Kenn Thomas and Jim Keith.)

Another interesting fact: a mysterious $200,000 had been deposited in the account of the driver, Henri Paul, over a couple of months prior to the crash. A former M16 agent, Richard Tomlinson, claims it came from British Intelligence.
