UK 'regret' over Falklands dead

Britain has expressed "continuing regret" over the deaths on both sides in the Falklands conflict.

Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett released a statement on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Argentine invasion of the Falkland Islands.
...
Shadow foreign secretary William Hague welcomed arrangements for relatives of the Argentine dead to visit the Falklands.

He said: "It is absolutely right to work for improved co-operation with Argentina.

But he said it was important to remember the war "was the result of an unprovoked act of aggression."

1. It's good to see the UK being level-headed.
They did what HAD to be done, left, and started up the diplomacy right away. bush could take a lesson.

But their later actions in Iraq made a mockery of the principle of non-aggression.

which apparently has given new life to Argentina's claims on the islands taken by colonial England.
