US intelligence boss says grueling day a challenge
By David Morgan

WASHINGTON, April 4 (Reuters) - New U.S. intelligence chief Mike McConnell said on Wednesday that coping with a grueling work schedule has proven to be one of the main challenges of his first two months on the job.

"I didn't quite anticipate that my day would start at least six days a week, and some days it's seven days a week, at four o'clock in the morning," McConnell, 63, said in a speech to senior federal employees.

"My biggest challenge, early, is just stamina. Can I stay with this?"

2. In all fairness...
At age 63 working seven days per week starting at 4am would be tough. Not to mention the pressures involved. Granted you'd think the head of intelligence would do some digging before taking the job.

3. How hard can it be to ignore everything and then tell * exactly what he wants to hear?
Damn, you could phone it in. That said, if done correctly, Intelligence Advisor for the chimp is an impossible job.

4. I'm always worried and suspicious when one of these fools starts a phrase with...
"I didn't quite anticipate..."

5. Maybe he has to spend as much time as he does
Fixing the mess that our intelligence services have become from the past six years of neglect.
