Task Force Lightning Soldiers attacked
MND-North Public Affairs

TIKRIT, Iraq – A Task Force Lightning Soldier was killed Thursday
when an improvised explosive device exploded near his vehicle in
Diyala Province.

Two other Soldiers were also wounded in the attack and were taken
to a Coalition Forces’ medical treatment facility.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification
of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
