Lawsuit filed against TYC

A Texas teen who claims he was physically and sexually abused while in TYC facilities has filed a class action lawsuit against the commission.

Joseph Galloway claims guards molested him, beat him and allowed other inmates to sexually assault him.


"The main thing I want out of this is for TYC to be changed forever. I want something that is going to last," Galloway said.


The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and an injunction on behalf of other children in an effort to prevent further civil rights abuses.
