Bush and Blair (Brtis confirm Bush* going to Iraq for Christmas)
Wonder if he'll wear a red suit as a disguise for the next midnight raid?

"Presidential advisers in Washington wanted Mr Bush to be the sole leader to make a Christmas visit to troops in Baghdad and urged Downing Street to postpone any visit."

Bring all the troops home, then he can throw them a big Bar-B-Q at the Pig Farm...

So...is Dim Son going to be calling on the other "coalition" troops, too? All 300 of them?

5. I think they're referring to the "Turkey Shoot".
Since the UK doesn't have Thanksgiving they're lumping it in with the Christmas holiday period IMO. Could be wrong, of course, but I doubt that Dubya has the balls to go again, even for a couple of hours. I'm betting that he soiled himself when Cheney told him about the last one...

6. I took the context as indication a future visit.
They didn't refer to it in the past tense and the date listed for the article is today.

This may be Downing Streets' revenge for Bush* whining about Blairs' Saddam capture announcement.

8.  a Washington ban ? ? ? - - - 0n visiting one's troops ? ? - sheesh !!

. . From the Article:

"The two leaders have fallen out over plans for the reconstruction of the country and the heavy-handed action of American troops against the civilian population.

And the rift has been deepened by a Washington ban on a proposed morale-boosting visit by the PM to British troops in Iraq during the Christmas holiday."

/snip/

a Washington ban ? ? ? - so Tony is not allowed to visit his OWN troops ??

I'd be saying to Junior

- "ok - fine

- I'll just bring them all home !!"

. . Back to the Article:

"President Bush was incensed that Mr Blair stole Washington's thunder by being the first Western leader to confirm that the former dictator had been arrested by US troops."

/snip/

Dammm - - Georgie-Boy actin' like a spoilt kid !

Spoilt kid with guns, vewwwy vewy dangerous !

Banning another world leader and his biggest supporter...the arrogance is amazing!
Yeah, we're really winning the war on 'terra' (is this some sort of ban on 'Gone with the Wind'?) Orange alert on Christmas,
soldiers continuing to die, Russians deploying updated nuclear missles, making enemies of multiple nuclear states.....

We really should have taken the hint when we noticed GWB couldnt pronounce any of the names of people or countries in the mid-east!

I dont think SNL realized how close Wil Farrel was to the REAL pres!

15. I'm all in favor of Bush going to Iraq for Christmas
In fact, send him over numerous times!

Maybe one time the SS will forget him over there.

Now that the terrorists know what to look for (after hearing three different versions of the reply to the mysterious "English pilot"!)

Unfortunately, the end result of that would probably be like the Lincoln/Kennedy legacy, where W would (unrightfully) be elevated to God status, just above the beloved saint Ronnie.

after everyone learned the turkey was bogus, and the actual people there ate slimey canned turkey, or something similarly unpleasant, and that many of them missed their special dinner altogether because of his trip.

News:

Polish president makes unannounced visit to troops in Iraq

(Warsaw, Poland-AP) -- It's definitely a trend. Poland's president has made a surprise visit to Iraq, becoming the third coalition leader in the past month to do so.

President Aleksander Kwasniewski (kvahsh-NYEV'-skee) arrived for his unannounced visit today. He and Poland's defense minister have spent time meeting with Polish peacekeepers at their Iraqi headquarters. Polish state radio reports Kwasniewski planned to stay for two or three hours. (snip)

(snip) President Bush surprised the world with his unannounced Thanksgiving visit with American troops in Baghdad. Later, Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar (AHS'-nahr) had lunch with soldiers from his country. He was in Iraq for about four hours.

38. Irresponsible,neglectful: Two words that best describe Bu$h\Cheater Inc.
Not only leaving the country but going to a mad hornets nest and take a chance at not getting stung. If the secret service allows this. I am convinced our country is doomed. Because eventually irresponsible actions come back and bite you in the ass. Even the freepers should know that is true. Hell they are all aware that Bu$h has the brain power of a sandstone. The scary part is not enough Americans seem to care. Sad.

23. This really scared me when I read it
cuz it came after the orange alert was posted. Had it come before I would have accepted it, but this way, he doesn't need to go if something does happen. After how scared he was last time, I don't think he can actually do it again. It all feels sort of worrisome. I don't think they wanted Saddam taken alive, but once the Kurds had them, they are in a big mess I think. They really have to keep him alive to testify or the world might really revolt then. Well, just MHO. But I haven't been scared until I read this and the hair on my arms stood on end.

...that's when the next terra-ist event will happen here?

"Nah! Georgie couldn't a had nuthin' to do with it! Hell, he was way over there in Eye-rack!"

If Dick Cheney is back in his spider hole, and Tom "Cockroach" Delay is in Texas, I wouldn't want to be in Washington.

33. They've raised the terra alert to orange
and they've let it out that Bush* is going to Iraq for Christmas?

Now we know why the terror alert was raised.

So, this will work out one of two ways.

1. The Secrect Service and Defense Department will insist the trip be canceled over Shrub's strong objections because it's "too dangerous".

2. Or, despite the "high alert" Shrub will heroically make the trip anyway.

And half the country will fall for it, no matter what he does.
