Graham Seems to be Angling for VP Post

DUH!!!!

At the Florida State Convention, State Dem Leader Scott Maddox almost forced candidates to say they would put Graham on their ticket! Graham spoke twice and even had his wife speak at the Convention. It was blatant pandering (something Graham is good at!).

6. I love Bob Graham.

I don't care who the VP might be, but I really think it is sad to be so insulting to a man who served our state well so many years. I think "boring, weird, and old" sounds like Jon Stewart and his attacks on the personal physical characteristics of Democrats.

Graham would help in the South, but I'm not sure how much given what happened with Dukakis/Bentson, Dukakis another New Englander.

7. Bob Graham is a great statesman.

He would be a solid addition to the ticket for foreign policy and for the South. I think Clark would be stronger, but he doesn't seem to want the VP spot. Of course could end up the winner which would be awesome too. Dean has to have someone like either Clark or Graham.

When he dropped out IMO.

He looks good on paper (can bring some natural focus to the Florida issue, has foreign policy expertise, is a southerner, etc.), but he comes off so transparent that I don't think he'd be a good match-up with Dean. There are worse choices, and I could be wrong, but Dean-Graham doesn't have the best ring to it.

11. I really don't agree

Graham would add to Dean's ticket just what it needs, *power and reputation in Congress*, foreign policy credentials, and a Southerner. Graham is one of the best Senators this country has ever had and his performance on the trail suffered only because he's not a sound bite speaker, which I thought was a breath of fresh air, but it didn't go over with the media. He's a great choice for VP.

12. I was for Clark as VP, but Graham might be better

Clark hasn't shown much star power in his campaign. He's really faltering. Graham, however, can get us that much needed Florida vote.

I don't really care who the VP is unless we can pick up some states because of it.
