Thousands demand Kirkuk for the Kurds

Thousands of Iraqi Kurds have gathered in Kirkuk to demand the northern oil centre be included in a future autonomous Kurdish region.

"Kirkuk, Kirkuk, heart of Kurdistan," they chanted in the city centre.

"We demand federalism for Kurdistan".

It was the biggest demonstration the city, 300 kilometres north of Baghdad, since the fall of Saddam Hussein's Baath party on April 9.

"They have found the solution! Divide Iraq into three mini-states and then pit them against one another. Does that remind you of something else? Oh, yes! It's not the first time something like this happened....

The New York Times published an editorial on November 25, 2003 carrying Leslie Gelb's by-line. He's an influential man who, until recently, presided over the very important Council on Foreign Relations, a think tank that brings together the CIA, the secretary of state and big shots from U.S. multinational corporations.

Gelb's plan? Replace Iraq with three mini-states:

"Kurds in the north, Sunnis in the center and Shiites in the south." The objective? "To put most of its money and troops where they would do the most good quickly -- with the Kurds and Shiites. The United States could extricate most of its forces from the so-called Sunni Triangle, north and west of Baghdad.... American officials could then wait for the troublesome and domineering Sunnis, without oil or oil revenues, to moderate their ambitions or suffer the consequences."

In short, starve the central state around Baghdad because the Sunnis have always spearheaded the resistance to U.S. imperialism.

We denounced this CIA plan, which has been around for some time now, albeit discreetly, in an article that appeared in September 2002. But, to divide Iraq has, in fact, been an old Israeli dream. In 1982, Oded Yinon, an official from the Israeli Foreign Affairs office, wrote: "To dissolve Iraq is even more important for us than dissolving Syria. In the short term, it's Iraqi power that constitutes the greatest threat to Israel. The Iran-Iraq war tore Iraq apart and provoked its downfall. All manner of inter-Arab conflict help us and accelerate our goal of breaking up Iraq into small, diverse pieces."

I did read this article on Global Research this evening and it frightens me to death, and now ABC news reports something like this?

They are on the spearhead of an information war along with RAND Co. and the rest of the bunch. In Kosovo war they did great to vilify Serbs and now look what happened to Kosovo - it is a drug traffic route, the drugs are being poured into Europe through albanian mafia cartels at an alarming rate. There is no need to mention who usually profits from drug traffic.
Now there is a concerted effort to vilify all Sunnis no matter who they are. But what if Kurds and Shias will spoil relations with their CIA masters? We've got one big pile of crap in Iraq managed poorly by Bush cabal.

I did a lot of research about the PR companies that were behind many of the campaigns in Yuguslavia and Iraq. I posted some information about them in threads about Yuguslavia. To name just the two most important ones: The Rendon Group (Hired by the CIA and the Pentagon to do PR in Yuguslavia and the Iraq), and RUDER-FINN.

"The engagement of Jewish organizations on the side of the Bosnians was a superb poker play. Immediately thereafter, we were able to associate the Serbs and the Nazis in the public's mind ... It is not our job to verify information ... Our job is to accelerate the circulation of news items which are favourable to us ... We are not paid to moralize ...'"

These companies are paid for and hired by the Pentagon. They were behind the toppling of the Saddam-Statue in Iraq. They handled the Kuwaitis the flags, before they were "liberated".

“I am not a national security strategist or a military tactician,” Rendon said. “I am a politician, and a person who uses communication to meet public policy or corporate policy objectives. In fact, I am an information warrior and a perception manager.” He reminded the Air Force cadets that when victorious troops rolled into Kuwait City at the end of the first war in the Persian Gulf, they were greeted by hundreds of Kuwaitis waving small American flags. The scene, flashed around the world on television screens, sent the message that U.S. Marines were being welcomed in Kuwait as liberating heroes."

I did some research into RUDER-FINN and got really sick. Hurt. Pained. And also very, very angry. I knew the entire thing was a PR charade but had never imagines that it was that easily done.

I am so disgusted that I can't even post my thoughts about that on DU just yet. I really need to digest this because it's worse than I had even though and the dots are ligning up too unpleasantly. Ich wirlich bin crank.

The last days, during that research, I couldn't believe my eyes.

I knew a lot about german PR companies that were involved in Yuguslavia before. Our former defence minister (during the times of the Kosovo war) had to resign because of taking money from them. They did even buy the clothes and designed the haircut for the later killed Djindjic, who was a german puppet.

(The day he was killed, he was about to meet Anna Lindt, who's dead now, too. His follower did revoke contracts made before with an EU consortium of banks under german leadership and gave US-Steel the biggest steel-factory in Smederevo.)



But today I really start going mad. I did just read that article on Washington's "plans" and hours later, you post an ABC news report about Kurds with flags - no matter if Rendon bought them with US-taxmoney or not - asking for a federal state.

We're not getting payed to moralize anyway,

Divide Iraq into 3 states, never can or will happen, but that is the goal. Pretty scary all in all. "They" know what they are doing and it has been in the works for a couple of hundred years. Just Hang on for the ride or step into the middle of it all and try and stop it. Good Luck!
