2. this sounds ridiculous!
a judge actually staying due process during a criminal investigation's discovery phase?
that judge deserves impeachment and removal from office, and i mean now!

14. A phone call must have been made by a Republican biggie
I knew it was too good to be true. If they opened up his records, people would start doing the math and conclude that pigboy was also a dealer, as well as a user. Next question would be, who was he dealing for? I would start by asking, who made the phone call to the judge to stay the order?

9. Simply delaying tactics by those hated trial lawyers.
Only temporary pending Limpball's appeal of the issue. His appeal will get shot down.

10. Doesn't this man ever stop?
I swear, he would bitch about the rope he's hung with.

The Democrats in this country still cannot defeat me in the arena of political ideas, and so now they are trying to do so in the court of public opinion and the legal system.

How can he attack two institutions that served him so well by "anointing" Bush the Unelected "King" of America? (complacent Media, lapdog to the Bushistas, and the corrupt US Supreme Court (as representative of the legal system)).

If pure hypocrisy were a crime, then Rush/Jeff would be serving never-ending, consecutive life sentences.

12. They better be very careful as this will set precedent
If medical records are unobtainable by law enforcement I would guess that blood tests fall into the privacy realm and so also breath tests and Drug Tests also. If medical tests and records are private a lot of felons like limbaugh will get off scott free.

16. might be too late for rush. there was a window of opportunity between
yesterday and this morning where it was legal for his records to be examined. anything gleaned from them during this time would likely be useful as leads for the cops to go on.

17. Absolutely, and I hope the prosecutor's office burned the midnight oil
on this one. I doubt that the stay will prevail but we will just have to see what happens. Wow, January is turning into an interesting month.
Janklow gets sentenced, Martha's trial will start and the ongoing Pigboy situation. Should be real interesting!

20. go to gallup.com's page
About half of it is Jacko and the other half is the manly man * gaining his rightful place in the sun!

Well, anyway, what I was going to say about all this is that Roy Black said the medical records are all over the Internet anyway.

19. Judges can be a pretty corrupt lot!

See this link, the Skolnick report, whom was partially responsible for the late 60's shakeup of the Chicago Federal bench:

He also has a serious tinfoil case, btw. But, he still deserves merit for his actions.

21. the stay is SOP for the courts
might even be in the law. Typically the law provides you can get a stay pending appeal, in some types of cases you have to post a bond but it's automatic.

This is no evidence of a fix. The judge is following the law. (If there is no law for a stay in this type of case Rush could get a restraining order if he could show irreparable harm. It seems that was the argument he was making about the leaks. That someone in the prosecutor's office is leaking the stuff they are finding. That's the harm he'd have to show.)

The best part about this whole Rush thing is he is making all the arguments Clinton made. Now that he's sobered up. (The consipracy to get me, the prosecutor illegally leaking stuff, being treated differently because I'm famous and they don't like my ideas.) Difference is, Clinton didn't do anything wrong and it appears Rush did, AND Clinton was not a hypocrite. That's what drives me nuts about it.

Makes me SICK how the right wing media is sticking up for him. "The guy is in terrible pain and people are being mean to him." Gag.

I was addicted to similar drugs when I was young. Same way. Prescribed for horrid pain. It never occurred to me that I could/should keep taking them. At age 18 I knew the course of action was to get off them and figure out how to live with the pain. Which meant I didn't play golf. Sheesh. (I'm addicted to tobacco, currently off the cigs, so I'm sympathetic to addiction but allowing yourself to get addicted to an illegal substance is stupid.)

I suspect theres no callouses on the mans hand meaning this guy does no heavy work.

His back prolly is as good as yours or mine.

He is hiding something quite important.
