Voice of IraqWassit, June 8, (VOI) – Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said anti-Iraq conspiracies in the country's regional environs do not only target the government but also the democratic process in a bid to bring back the old regime.
"Iraq, with all its geographic extensions, historical depth and diverse groups, is our responsibility, which requires us to exert more efforts," Maliki said late at night on Thursday during a visit to Wassit province where he met with clerics, departmental directors, university professors and tribal chiefs.

Maliki noted that the cabinet "cannot find magical solutions to all the problems suffered by Iraqi citizens, considering the fact that the former dictatorship left many detestable problems."
