Three foreign contractors reported killed in Iraq
Source: Reuters

BASRA, Iraq, June 25 (Reuters) - Three foreign security contractors were killed in an ambush on a private security convoy south of Basra in southern Iraq on Monday, an Iraqi security source said.

Details of the attack, which took place near the Sunni town of Al Zubair, about 15 km (9 miles) southwest of Basra, were sketchy.

The security source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the convoy had been attacked by gunmen and that at least two four-wheel-drive vehicles were destroyed.

The attack involved at least one roadside bomb and there were unconfirmed reports that it was carried out by a Shi'ite militia. The Mehdi Army of anti-American cleric Moqtada al-Sadr is a powerful force in Basra and often attacks British troops.

1. Mothers, don't let your sons grow up to be guns for hire.

Thousands of private security contractors are employed in Iraq to guard diplomats, government officials, convoys and installations around the country.

My condolences

4. They're not "contractors", they're MERCENARIES
This is how they sold the idiotic and failed bloodbath of Falluja to America: "they killed four contractors and hung their bodies out in public!"

It sounded like some noble guys with tool belts who were there to benevolently rebuilt the country were brutally murdered, when they were hired guns.

6. Those 4 were hired guns at $1,500.00 a day
They died pursuing a filthy goal of personal criminal enrichment.

The citizens gave them a rousing well deserved welcome to Falluja
