easy-- we have become barbarians and we have become sheep at the beck abd call of those who appeal to our most base, out of control, instincts--

they lie, as the best of us know, but others, they not care.

We are committed to a "revenge" for some reason beyond the most contemplative of us all. That revenge includes killing little, wide eyed, innocent children--children of a different religion and children of a darker skin with significantly different cultural practices. Necertheless, they will not understand why they have been left without a leg or a foot . They are too little to understand that. And we, under George Bush have done that to them. :cry:

Why do we do it and why does it become the "norm" and after a time acceptable?

As we here in this so very rich, so very sophisticated and trendy, so very above all society, think is just an acceptable way for us to protect our own children--by killing the children of others.

Is that not a disgusting, most abominably way of survival? It would be if we are are to consider outselves "animals" and maybe, we are!!

Hey and if we are, we are then, indeed on the right track killing little brown two years old, wide eyed and innocent kids of Iraqi or AFganistani people who did nothing to us. Right?

Actually this is a misuse of military speak. Personnel are those who belong to a military unit. These victims were civilians. I guess our side can't bring themselves to admit what they did was wrong.

The police at home can use IR sensors on helocopters to tell who is growing pot in their home and how many warm bodies are present behind the walls and under the ceiling. Why is no such effort made here to identify friend or foe before firing shells into a residence where the presence of civilians and children is reasonably expected? Certainly, a rocket launcher or assualt rifle recently fired would appear on the sensor as well as the warm bodies of children. I guess they can't justify the expense. It's much cheaper to kill em all and let god sort em out. Except that the paybacks are a bitch.

I see no reason why our forces are not equipped with IR sensors to help identify the enemy or friendlies within structures.
