Red Cross Monitors Barred From Guantánamo
Source: NYT

A confidential 2003 manual for operating the Guantánamo detention center shows that military officials had a policy of denying detainees access to independent monitors from the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The manual said one goal was to “exploit the disorientation and disorganization felt by a newly arrived detainee,” by denying access to the Koran and by preventing visits with Red Cross representatives, who have a long history of monitoring the conditions under which prisoners in international conflicts are held. The document said that even after their initial weeks at Guantánamo, some detainees would not be permitted to see representatives of the International Red Cross, known as the I.C.R.C.

It was permissible, the document said, for some long-term detainees to have “No access. No contact of any kind with the I.C.R.C.”
.......
The document, a two-inch-thick operations manual, was first posted on Wikileaks, a Web site that encourages posting of leaked materials. Military officials said that the manual appeared genuine but described outdated policies and that all Guantánamo detainees could now see Red Cross monitors. In response to critics’ assertions that the detention camp in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, may have violated international law, a spokesman, Lt. Col. Edward M. Bush III, said, “I am in no position to speculate about what happened in 2003.”

Many of the german Konzentration caps was also closed to the International Red Cross.. Even that in some cases, where the germna authorityes have everting to "win" to show off how "clean and nice" it was in the german konzentration camps, the International Red Cross was barred from entring...

But in other cases, before the IRC was coming into camps, the camp was cleaned up, and the inmates who wasent near death was "feed up" so they manage to act as living humans, and they to had some food in the baraks, so it looks like they have a decent food regiment in the camps..

After the reprensations was over, verry often the food, and the cloth the inmates have been given was taken back, and the inmates beaten brutaly becose some "Maybee" have going over a invisible line somwhere ounder the visit...
And as many surveivos can write down under, many, many inmates var crying as the food they belived they was given, was sended back to the storage... Many inmates even broke down totaly, and was daying the same night. And send to the crematories the next day

Note, I use the term IRC, becouse, that in the 1940s, the red Cresent was not a part of the International Red Cross system.. Today we maybee have used the term The Red Cresend and The Red Cross if the term have been used in that day...

If, the fact is that the International Red Cross and Cresent are barred to visit a camp inside Gutanamo, we wil never know what is happend there.. And if halv the truth of what is been told from inmates who HAVE been send out om this camp, in the american miliary system, then the term Konzentration Camp is Not far from the truth... I bet some of the same system are in place even in this American "gulag" ssytem.. And even that this camp is wel known to the public, what is really happend in other places where we dont know what is happend?. Many of the german camps was not known, or just a rumor before the inmates was been freed in the late 1944-45..

My fosterfather was one of the soldiers who was liberating Bergen-Belsen in 1945,or at last was there just after the liberation of the camp. And what he was seeing there shook him all his life.. He was so angry about what he was seeing, that he dosent tutch a german for over 40 year.. First in the year 1989, right before the Berlin Wall was been tering down, the man even wanted to shake hand with a german... And I know it becouse I was there when he was doing it.. A german, from Dresden if I dosent get it totaly wrong...
And Bergen-Belsen was a shoock even to battle-harden soldiers from the United States... So what it was from a rather young man from Norway, I dont dear to think about...

This is a shame of the United States that wil come to be known, And I doubt, really doubt it wil be with Honnour this camps wil be known. This not a good thing.. And as in the German Konzentration camps. The truth wil come out someway, sometime down the road.. AND then... The world is far more inter-conected today, then it was when germany was the european aggresive part.. And even with all the secrecy the german used when it come to the Konzentration camps sytem, the rumors that was coming out, far and wide was enough to scare the most peopole...
The current Administration states they are conservative cristians.. This is NOT a cristian act. As a cristian, I dont condone this at last.. Even If I was not a cristian I stil wil not condone this. This is just Criminal, and wil come to hunt United States with wenegance later in history.. It tock Germany more than 60 year to get it "right" just to be accsepted as a "Normal country" and they stil dosent want to go to war easy.. They remember their past, and in many parts, they are not excactly proud of what happend between 1933 and 1945.. And if half the rumors if what is happend in this type of camps, and in other places, the American Public should not be proud of the Administration of GWB either.. Rather ashamed, and try to educate the future that THIS is not what America is about.. Not just try to cover it under the rugg, but to see it as a extreme cases of what can come if you get your liberty, and freedom to extremeists.. And I hope, that it can be learned without the rest of the world on a "punich the americans" raid, to stop this maniac who are infesting America today... It is many way to fight a evil as this. If we can to it peacefully I wil be extremely happy, if we cant fight this, togeter without the bloodshed that was the fact in WW2.. Then many, many wil die and maybee US wil be occupied by others, to the americans itself can build up a better democracy... As the american was doing it in Germany and Japan after the end of the war... It wil ironic in the face of the history, if US was to learn Democracy again from Japan and Germany... That wil be a historic note to come down in the history.
