Members of the Screen Actors Guild, TV production assistants, disabled writers and members of other unions are expected to walk picket lines to support striking writers, the Writers Guild of America announced.
More than 100 writers and actors with disabilities are expected to picket outside Warner Bros. Studios today from 10 a.m. until noon. Members of the SAG/AFTRA/EQUITY Performers with Disabilities Committee will join their counterparts from the WGA West, said WGA spokesman Gregg Mitchell.
``The writers deserve our support and encouragement as we continue to work together towards improved inclusion of people with disabilities in the industry,'' said Danny Murphy, national vice chair of the SAG People with Disabilities Committee.
Peter Farrelly, the co-director of ``There's Something About Mary'' and ``The Heartbreak Kid'' is also expected to join the rally at Warner Bros.
