Turkey praises US help as jets bomb northern Iraq
by Sibel Utku Bila

ANKARA (AFP) - Turkish President Abdullah Gul praised the US on Wednesday for providing military intelligence as Ankara confirmed its third air strike in 10 days against Kurdish rebel hideouts in northern Iraq.

"Things are going on well at the moment. Intelligence is being shared" between the two NATO allies, Anatolia news agency quoted Gul as saying in Ankara.

The US support "befits our alliance," Gul said, adding: "Both of us are satisfied. This is how it should be. We could have come to this point earlier."

Wednesday's air strike was the third against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) targets in northern Iraq that the military has confirmed since December 16, in addition to a cross-border ground operation.

2. So now we are essentially at war with ourselves
as we are allied to both parties in this latest conflict, providing funding and military equipment to both sides. The war profiteers cant lose and are laughing all the way to the bank. What a bunch of fools we Americans have become, lazy ignorant fools.

5. And all this crap
that this fascist "president" doles out about sovereign nations (Remember that pathetic news conference?) is all bull shit. Even the country that he is supposedly liberating is attacked by another nation WITH US HELP!

Oh, I forgot, the Kurds wanted to make their own oild deal didn't they? They want some independence from the oppressor nation didn't they. Hey Georgie boy, why not take the tactic that Saddam did and gas them yourself, you ass-hole.
