AFPMOSCOW (AFP) - Russia on Friday denied selling a powerful new air defence system to Iran, following an announcement by the Iranian government that Russia would supply it.

Earlier this year Moscow overrode US opposition by delivering to Tehran 29 TOR-M1 air defence missile systems, in a deal estimated to be worth 700 million dollars.
