With just two weeks to go before New Hampshire's primary, a new poll shows retired Gen. Wesley Clark is gaining ground on Howard Dean with voters.
NewsCenter 5's David Boeri reported that a new Boston Herald poll put Dean in the lead with 29 percent, Clark second with 20 percent, Sen. John Kerry in third with 15 percent, followed by Sen. Joe Lieberman with 7 percent. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percent.
Dean spent Wednesday in the Granite State trying hard to retain his front-runner status. His campaign said the trip was planned last week, but coming just five days before the highly competitive and valued Iowa caucuses, the suspicion was that Dean was trying to stop the erosion of his lead in New Hampshire.
