defusing the bomb. It was detonated by remote control and the boy was killed. Reading the story gives more information.

Three civilians were apparently killed because they wanted to watch the bomb being diffused. What could they possibly have been thinking? It was a BOMB. Why were they standing around WATCHING?

3. CNN had video of an explosion...

They were reporting it was this one but perhaps it was another since so many go unreported. There were two soldiers standing near a palm tree when KABOOM.... and they ran like hell. I hope one was not my cousin... :(
