The president of the National Electoral Board (JNE), Jorge Rodríguez, said that the institution has received three new proposals for the automation of the upcoming regional election and a possible recall vote.

In spite of the immense technological expectations created with the new proposals, the one with the best prospect is still the Venezuelan company SmartMatic.

This week, the CNE transcribers have gone from entering the contents of 26,000 signature lines to about 120,000 lines, which has resulted in 580,541 names, ID numbers and birth dates transcribed for 21 legislators.

1. looks like the NED has some new methods
or rather new versions of old methods
