Kibaki says he is fine after surgeryBy JULIUS BOSIRE
President Mwai Kibaki left the Nairobi Hospital yesterday after an overnight stay for surgery on his right arm.
The President who looked jovial, walked out of the hospital at 2.17pm, accompanied by First Lady, Lucy and his physician Dr Dan Gikonyo. The President intervened when his security team tried to block the Press from taking pictures. He said: "Don't block them; let them feel free to take pictures".
When the President came out, he greeted a battery of journalists who had waited for hours outside the hospital.
President Kibaki said in Kiswahili: "Niko sawa sawa; hakuna taabu. Nitakuwa sawa kabisa kwa wiki moja hivi. (I am alright; there is no problem. I will be completely recovered within a week).
