Arizona Girl, 3, Survives Days in Wrecked Frigid Car (w/dead mom)
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 06:52 PM by Angel_O_Peace
PHOENIX (Reuters) - A 3-year-old girl survived on little more than crackers - apparently up to five days - while huddled near her dead mother inside a wrecked car amid freezing temperatures in eastern Arizona, authorities said on Tuesday.
In what law enforcement officials called a miracle, Angel Emery was reported to be in good condition at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix after she was found by an alert motorist who spotted the car off the roadway near Globe, Arizona.

She was being treated for dehydration and frostbite.

Heard on NPR that the child's toes were extremely frostbitten. Also, the family dog was killed in the crash.

.. I shudder to think how many people may have noticed the car and didn't think it was worthy of a second thought? O8)

5. That kid needs hugs
I sure hope she has a functional family support unit of some kind.

And big props to the alert motorist. That is some remote place.
