The broadcast press corps is hot on the story of what some correspondents are calling President Bush's "retreat," or at least "dodge," on the issue of Saddam Hussein's alleged weapons of mass destruction.

On ABC, Terry Moran pulls no punches: "Asked directly whether he still believes weapons of mass destruction will be found in Iraq, President Bush simply dodged the question."

On CBS, John Roberts sees danger for the White House. "President Bush refused to even entertain the notion today that he received bad intelligence, but if what David Kay says is true, he is facing another massive intelligence failure, right on the heels of 9/11 -- only this time, it's an election year."

Harry Shearer bemoaned the fact on his show that, as connected as he is, there's NO VIDEO of that episode

He made the point that said episode should've been just as widely replayed as the I have a scream tape

That both the "i" and "c" letters are represented on your keyboard. I would hope that you are aware that there is no such thing as a "Democrat" primary. If there is, I have not heard of it. The name of the party is the Democratic party. "Democrat contenders" is iffy at best.
Only those who are ignorant or right wing(same difference) refer to the party as such. I trust you are not either, so I would hope you would not further their aims by using that terminology.
They are trying to control the language, and it seems to be working. I have heard so many Democrats referring to the party this way. It is annoying.

A friend of a friend (for his protection I don't want to give specifics) works for the Defense Intelligence Agency. I ran into him last month and asked him about working for the Bush administration in general, and Rumsfeld specifically. He described it like this:

"They would ask for intelligence, we would give it to them, and then they would come back and say 'you're wrong'."

You can't really blame someone for not telling you something when you weren't listening in the first place.
