Undeterred, Kucinich to introduce another impeachment article
Source: Raw Story -- Nick Juliano

Resolution to be read by Clerk of House

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) will formally introduce another article of impeachment against President Bush Tuesday as House leaders indicate they're willing to convene a hearing to consider the Ohio Democrat's arguments.

Kucinich will move for a vote on a privileged resolution Tuesday, which likely will result in the impeachment article being referred to the Judiciary Committee. The lawmaker warned he would keep coming back with the resolution if the House voted to dismiss it.

Now I'll leave y'all alone for a bit. ;) I need to recover from listening to that Bush bull* speech.

7. Never give up when it means justice . . .
Kucinich definitely exhibits the belief "If first you don't succeed, try and try again!" Also the old adage "The squeaky wheel gets the attention!" Maybe, just maybe, someone will act on this long over due action. :applause:

Dennis is not totally alone. It's just that there's not enough who take their oathes seriously. The dickhead GOP lackey that reps our district is a disgrace to all but the base he panders to and collects from. he votes "NO" so consistently that I'm thinking all he can master is 2-letter words. :dunce:

46. McDermott is definitely one of the quit spoken good guys!
The very first time I ever heard about the depleted uranium munitions horror was from Rep. McDermott. He gained the nickname "Baghdad Jim" from the repuke scream machine because he dared to go see for himself what was going on in Iraq prior to our fiasco invasion. His report, (aired on C-SPAN watched live by my kids and I) confirmed what we already knew: We were going to war with Iraq NOT because of WMD but because of OIL!

In that report he talked about the nightmare unleashed by our use of depleted uranium munitions from the first gulf war-he detailed the effects it had on the unborn and on children playing on tanks destroyed by such munitions. He warned that we would likely use these munitions again...which we did.

McDermott has always been counted on to side with the vets, he has worked tirelessly to pass legislation regarding depleted uranium oxide poisoning on our vets. He has always sided with impeachment legislation as well.

Perhaps not as in the limelight as a Dennis Kucinich, Jim McDermott has been a major thorn in the side of the bush administration. Here is a link to his official page: http://www.house.gov/mcdermott/ be sure to scroll down a bit and check out his latest speech on the House Floor regarding the similarities of bush's hostile takeover of Iraqi Oil and a similar incident over 7 decades ago by the British.

ANY support for this patriot would be much appreciated...even if you only send him a thank you letter or a call, it is time well worth being spent on someone spending his time fighting for all of us. :patriot:

This crazy practice of introducing one article each day won't get him even a third of the way through the list of impeachable offenses by the time Bush leaves office.

until you bought it. One pushed falsehoods and one brings them to light with the truth. The truth and making those telling the lies to be exposed for what they are and to be made liable for the actions taken because of those lies is never a waste of time.

45. "undeterred". Too bad you're not actively"undeterred".
You could be more than a word. You could be at his side physically. You could be screaming impeachment or writing impeachment or supporting the man's actions. Are you helping him more than saying you are undeterred? How are you taking any credit for impeachment articles? He has been taking the hits for us. I have called his office and I send him money, but it is his honor that stands alone. If you say you are with him I should see you there. Hope to.

30. Yes, Dennis is my guy! But it makes me boil when I read
Earlier this week, Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers said he would let Kucinich discuss his arguments for impeachment during a hearing later this summer, but he indicated the committee likely would not act on impeachment.

“We’re not doing impeachment, but he can talk about it,” the chairman said.

WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? himself by this honorable and noble action in defense of our democracy. No other Dems, for political expediency, are willing to do this right thing. Kucinich can know that he stands out from the cowed crowd on this matter as the one honest man in the Congress.

This great man with a true vision of propelling America back to prominence barely got 1% of the vote in the primaries. People cannot bitch anymore about politicians if the only ones they will elect are the ones who value money and corporate greed over the quality of American life.

bamacrat, you have put into words, the thought I had while reading through this thread. I am a Kucinich supporter and always will be. He is the only person who has the intestinal fortitude to go against the grain and stand up for what is right. I would LOVE for Senator Obama to pick Kucinich as his running mate for the election. He would be a great mentor and guide for Obama to have on his side.

61. Dennis, give it a rest.
Sorry everyone, I know he seems to mean well and all but its clear there will be no impeachment as warranted as many of us might believe it to be for varies reasons its just clear its NOT going to happen, we have a few more months and we get a new president so why waste time on this when we should be focusing on getting Obama elected because atleast then we stand some chance however minor of atleast Bush being perhaps investigated and put on trial for any crimes he has commited.
Odds are though far greater that if McCain wins you all can pretty much kiss any hope of said trial ever happening and any and all records will be either sealed or destroyed.
