House votes to override veto on Medicare bill
Source: Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to override President Bush's veto of legislation protecting doctors from a 10.6 percent cut in their reimbursement rates when treating Medicare patients.

The vote was 383-41, easily meeting the two-thirds threshold needed for an override. The Senate also must conduct an override vote, and it was expected to do so later Tuesday.

Bush has vetoed bills nine times, and Congress has had the muscle to override him only twice before. . .

It gets better: The Senate is taking it up now (CSpan). They are both going to override him, on the very same day he vetoed it.

7. Can't wait to hear Dana spin this one.
If she had half a brain or an ounce of humanity, the stress of the job - lying, daily and blatantly for war criminals - would be killing her.

Watching her performance at the pressers is like watching the Q&A sessions of the Miss Amur'ka pageants. "Airhead" doesn't begin to describe her vapidity or the soulless defense and regurgitation of their policies and actions.

I thought Dana'd have resigned long before now and taken a well-deserved job at FAUX, but she's either a true believer or so enamored of being close to the center of power as to render any other considerations inconsequential.

Just remember Dana, Hitler's spokespeople were also tried (then hung) at Nuremberg - and, though none were nearly so "cute" as you, being attractive isn't going to provide a defense once the truth is laid out.

10. As far as I know, yes. If I remember my gov't classes YEARS AGO.
when a veto is overridden, it becomes low and doesn't go back to the Prez.
