Subaru workers face layoffs
http://www.wthr.com/Global/story.asp?S=1628646

Lafayette, Feb. 3 - It's the end of car production and jobs at the Subaru plant in Lafayette.

<snip>

After a few years of layoffs more than 150 workers have been called back to work on the 2005 Subaru Legacy line. But some 2,800 employees will be out of work in July when Isuzu production ends.

1. Damn! I'm getting ready to buy two new Outbacks.
Trading my 99 in later in the year and my wife's 99 SAAB wagon in sooner than that. There is no better car for the North Carolina mountains, everything else equal, than a Subaru Outback wagon.
