3. Leap Year in Iraq

By the end of the month, there will be 35-40 (and maybe more) American soldiers - young men and women in their prime of life, healthy, with families, friends and colleagues, full of love and laughter - who will be dead. Think of them now, nervously fingering a trigger, or relaxing on a berm, or playing soccer with some kids, or reading a magazine. See them sitting in their cots, or scanning the deadly horizon, or writing a letter. They will be dead before the end of the month. LOOK INTO THEIR FACES. Sad vision.

<BAGHDAD (Reuters) - One U.S. soldier was killed and another wounded in a mortar attack on U.S. military installations near Baghdad airport on Thursday, a U.S. Army spokesman said.

He said approximately four mortar rounds struck a logistics base near the airport and the airport complex itself, which lies a few kilometers (miles) west of Baghdad and is a key command center for U.S. military operations in Iraq (news - web sites).

The wounded soldier was evacuated for medical treatment, the spokesman said.

The death raises to 369 the number of U.S. soldiers killed in hostilities since the war to overthrow Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) was launched in March last year

again. I just can't think of any more to use to show how despicable I feel this administration is! I want to say that I hope this haunts them for the rest of their lives, but these aren't the kind of people who care about others. Just look at what the dope-in-chief's mother said about paying attention to the body bags and numbers of casualties. As a mother I just have to wonder just what kind of a mother/father raises children like she has?
