1. Hey, we've been trying.
But nobody's listening. The press is in Shrubya's pocket, so most "normal" people are ignoring the whole thing.

2. Your getting rid of Tony would make that a LOT easier
It would legitimize the idea here in the States. And you can bet that the Bush Regime is doing whatever then can to prevent it...like suggesting that the Hutton report blame the BBC, perhaps? What's the latest on that?

4. the hutton report
said what the gvt wanted it to say (surprised?) but the credibility of the report is not so good. The general sense in the public (even among warmongering arch conservatives like my dad) is that the report is bollocks and tony knew better but wanted to tag along with shrub to cash in.

16. We have had to overcome a very calculating propaganda campaign,...
,...with Dubya and the big corporations sharing in the take. It has been difficult!!! I do believe that the resiliency, intelligence, "independence" and ingenuity of the American people will surprise those disgusting propagandists in the end though. At least, I still have confidence even if it wavers from time to time.

5. But I was watching the BBC America news last night
and it said that Blair shrugged off criticism about bad WMD intel. No mention of calls for resignation.

Our media is controlled. Even the media that claims to be coming from overseas.

6. The call did come today
after the contradictions over 'who knew what when' were thrashed out in the media a bit.

Sadly, I don't think the call will have any significant effect. Howard made it because it's justifiable, and he thinks it will help to tarnish Blair's image a little. As one report noted today, even some Labour critics (eg Dennis Skinner) of Blair are rallying behind him, so I can't see a confidence vote getting rid of him without a major revalation.

9. Don't know where this will lead but surely I was among the first on this
board to proffer that Tony's support of a pre-emptive war would lead to his ouster.

24. Hey, Blair's in the same situation as John Kerry.
They were both lied to, right? They don't have to take responsibility for what they did. LOL

23. My tuppenceworth
Blair should resign ASAP without question, the trouble is that he will cling to power at any cost, and there are many in "new" labour who just cannot imagine life without Blair and think that Blair encapsulates everything that once made them electable.

This is going to be a long hard slog to get Blair to quit I'm afraid.

18. Beware another terror attack
In case Bush and Blair try to save themselves from impeachment. Beware they activate a terror attack in the name of Al Quada. Probably a bio one.

I would bet many hard earned dollars that this whole ricen thing was a Rove setup to take to focus off the Bogus WMD exploits.

21. Like everyone said, "We've been trying."
Regarding Yankee Poodle Tony: Give the guy a break. You'd think he was a BBC executive or something.

Regarding the Little Turd from Crawford: Give the guy 50-years to life in Leavenworth. No parole. When not busting rocks, he'd be making license plates for the first real jobs in his life.

25. given the way the lapdogs report things
if Tony-the poodle resigns, will this have any effect on bush*-the tumbleweed kid?

will we even hear about the poodle's resignation on the evening news -- or will it be relegated to a racing crawler with typos at the bottom of the screen?
