Baby born with two heads readied for surgery
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) -- A team of surgeons made final preparations to operate on a Dominican infant born with a second head, a risky surgery that doctors say they believe to be the first of its kind.

4. The second head is parsitic
that is, it cannot live as an independent individual. It is only partially formed. There are cases of parasitic twins recorded in history; the book Very Special People has photographs of those individuals who used to be called "freaks", and includes people having parasitic twins, usually an extra arm or leg. This condition is very rare; nowadays, I think what usually happens is that the extra limb is removed. The only thing that makes this case unusual is that the extra limb is a head.
