McConnell, Lunsford race a dead heat
Source: Louisville Courier-Journal

U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic challenger Bruce Lunsford are knotted in a statistical tie for McConnell’s seat, according to the latest Courier-Journal Bluegrass Poll.

The poll found that each candidate would get the support of 41 percent of likely voters if the election were held today. But McConnell nudged ahead 45-44 when undecided likely voters who were leaning toward a candidate were included into the poll results.

I know we are progressives and that many of us might not be fans of Lunsford but he is a Democrat running comptively against Rethug McConnell. I know is long shot but lets support Lunsford and lets "ditch Mitch"

2. We should help get him kicked out
Mitch is such a scum of a politican who has displayed over and over that he doesn't give damn about the people he pretends to represent.

10. I live in KY
If we can get rid of that bitch Anne Northrup, we can get rid of McCon Job. His ads are tasteless and half the time he doesn't even tell the truth. I am hoping there going to be an upset on election day.

11. If it is close the republicans will steal it..
Reputes can steal these close races which no one can tell
until it's to late to do anything.

14. Hope 2008 is the ditch for Mitch.
Please Kentucky, get out and work for Lunsford. McConnell is an ignorant, stupid bastard ! Since I live on the KY/VA border and can see Kentucky from my home, I have as much experience with Kentucky politics as Plain Jane has on foreign policy.

3. I'll help ditch Mitch
I will be voting for Lunsford. Not proudly, but then I'd sooner vote for the ghost of Man O'War than see McConnell re-elected.

With the bush administration going out of business soon Mitch can take his wife, soon to be former Cabinet Member Elaine Chao and disappear.

5. I don't see this happening
It points to a nice trend, and bodes well for us nationwide, but KY elected Bunning last time and he's been in a coma for 10 years.

8. It really angers me to see the way
the republicans exploit people in such ruthless ways.

I think this year will be different. At least I hope so... I love America...All of America.

13. Kentucky might be half blue by then.
Two of six representatives are Democrats. Might be three if we can score Lewis's seat. Democratic governor, too, and a HIGHLY promising young attorney general who looks like a movie star. (Jack Conway.) So go easy on us. ;)

12. This is about the only circumstance under which I support Lunsford for anything...
...namely, when he is running against Mitch McConnell.

I still haven't QUITE forgiven him for stabbing Chandler in the back in 2003 and backing the astoundingly incompetent Ernie Fletcher. Really, I wish it was almost anyone else in the party running. But sweet JESUS, I hate Mitch McConnell. I hang my head in shame knowing that shapeless sack of skin represents my state, AND that he's minority leader so he's on TV all the damned time now.

Maybe it's too much to hope for that we'll ACTUALLY get rid of him... but you never know. I'm going to join voter registration efforts in my neighborhood to try and get out the vote for Obama and Lunsford.

16. As a former (and maybe once-again) Kentuckian, PLEASE KY, ditch Mitch!
Or as we called him years ago when he was Jefferson County Judge-Executive, Howdy Doody.
