National Textiles To Layoff Workers At 2 Plants (190 jobs)

FOREST CITY, N.C. -- Fleece and jersey material-maker National Textiles will lay off 190 workers at two plants -- one in Forest City and the other in Virginia.

The Winston-Salem-based company said 106 workers will lose their jobs in Forest City. The rest will come from a plant in Galax, Virginia.

The company said production must be reduced because its customers said sales were down for its goods.
