Bush: US stands behind India in wake of attacks

WASHINGTON – President George W. Bush on Saturday pledged full U.S. support to India as it investigates the deadly terrorist attacks in Mumbai, saying the killers "will not have the final word."

Bush spoke at the White House after returning from the Camp David presidential retreat where he spent Thanksgiving and monitored the rampage. The coordinated assaults left nearly 200 people dead, including six Americans, and raised tensions between India and neighboring Pakistan, two nuclear-armed rivals.

"The killers who struck this week are brutal and violent," Bush said on the South Lawn with first lady Laura Bush at his side. "But terror will not have the final word. The people of India are resilient. The people of India are strong. They have built a vibrant, multiethnic democracy. They can withstand this trial."

Before leaving Camp David in the mountains of Maryland, he held an hour-long video-teleconference with U.S. diplomats in India. He said his administration had kept President-elect Barack Obama informed since the siege began Wednesday.

Actually I thought his statement was fairly innocuous and not all that different from what Obama said (except boosh didn't use any big words).

I was fully expecting a flag waving tough guy diatribe full of bullshit macho threats and dead or alive dialogue. I don't think he is smart enough to realize that nobody's buying his fake badass act anymore, I believe he has just given up. He's screwed the pooch royally and all he wants to do now is just get the fuck outa Dodge before the whole thing starts circling the drain.

I wouldn't let my guard down yet because there are people in this maladministration who still have designs on starting WWIII and making a shitload of money in the process. And they can still manipulate this child into doing something extremely stupid.

7. So much for his war on terror...

This does not speak well of him or his war on terror and of course we are not safer because of him or his "Department of Homeland Security" which was nothing more than another propaganda machine to justify the war on terror which was and is a war for oil.

And of course both Pakistan and India are nuclear powers. And all it will take is one nuclear warhead in the region to set off World War III.

This administration still has two months to set off a situation that ensures the Armaggedon that World War III will become.

Of course two years ago Madame Speaker decided she liked playing Empress to the Emperor. And basically ensured he will never be held accountable.

Keep in mind this is a man who as a teenager loved to stick firecrackers in the mouths of frogs and then light the firecrackers and then toss the frogs in the air and watch them explode.

Anything is possible. Including our worst nightmare.
