I have a feeling I will have to hold my nose in the Nov. elections to vote Dem.

6. Gay marriage is a non issue

The republicans are using this issue to divide the country. I could care less if gays want to get married it doesn't effect me, and it does not effect any of those bigots that stand up and preach against it!

7. Not groundbreaking

This is not particularly liberal. It's just obvious. Article IV, Section 1 of the Constitution, full faith and credit. In that regard, it's actually a conservative position, strict constructionism. We forget, the people opposing gay marriage aren't conservatives, they are bigots and fundamentalist zealots. Still, good to hear Edwards take a sensible stand.
