Palin Apologizes to Pastor for Fire at Her Church (Fox News)
Source: Fox News

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told a pastor at the Wasilla Bible Church that she was sorry if a fire set Friday was politically motivated.

Gov. Sarah Palin apologized to a pastor at her home church in Wasilla after a suspected arsonist set it on fire -- possibly as a result of "undeserved negative attention" caused by her vice presidential campaign, her spokesman said.

The Wasilla Bible Church suffered an estimated $1 million worth of damages after a fire burned through it Friday night.

"Whatever the motives of the arsonist, the governor has faith in the scriptural passage that what was intended for evil will in some way be used for good," Palin spokesman Bill McAllister told local television station KTUU in a statement Saturday.

On Saturday, the local fire chief said the fire "is definitely suspicious."

So it's still ALL ABOUT Sarah :eyes:

I expect the if part to be removed in the discussion on this by Fox&Friends and then the rest of the MSM will follow suit cementing this in the public conscientiousness.

10. How do you know she wasn't?
Nothing new going on in Alaska so she had to invent something.

Who wants to bet she blames it on William Ayres?

4. Wouldn't a NORMAL person
say "Oh my God, I am so glad the women and children got out safely!" Not Sarah, it is ALL ABOUT HER.
Almost all fires are suspicious until proven otherwise - yet Palin's followers are sure this about Palin and/or religious persecution.

5. Yes they would
but of course those children really don't do much to serve Sarah and that is what it is all about.

20. Wasn't her house set on fire on the same day?
If they aren't related it's an awfully big coincidence--unless every building in the town was set on fire by arsonists that day.

15. So, how much does the church have to pay for their arson investigation kit?
That's Standard Operating Procedure in Wasilla, isn't it?

18. Perhaps, just perhaps, the agent used to ignite said fire was dripping irony
Edited on Mon Dec-15-08 06:40 AM by underpants
the dripping irony of a church that mixes some wild caucasian mix of fundamentalist Christianity and Shintoism to believe that inanimate objects might possess demons and that the only way to rid said objects of these spirits is a raucous combination of prayer and....wait for it....FIRE

:eyes:

the other more likely scenario is a ninja like liberal operation to infiltrate the contractor's employment pool (AS electricians no less), fray the wires (the fire started in the walls), and time this sabotage to occur within a 110 day window (the period since dear Sarah was introduced on to the national scene) AFTER construction of the church which occurred probably 10 years ago (this implies the keen insight to know, like Newt and Kristol, that some day the former weather-girl and then mayor would some day be the VP nominee of a national party).

:eyes: :sarcasm:

17. What I've always wondered
Is why fundies almost always build such effin' ugly churches. There are a few exceptions, but Sarah's is not one of them - even my local WalMarts have more class than that. I wonder if it wasn't torched by a neighbor who finally got fed up with looking at that eyesore. Not that that justifies it by any means, but as long as no one was hurt, I'm not going to loose much sleep over the damage to a cherished local landmark.

I expect they were insured. Even Palin's congregation couldn't be that dumb. And now they get to play the "Boo-hoo, we're so persecuted!" card they're so fond of. Like they got run out of town for being Witches or something...

She'll stop at nothing to get her face on camera.
