U.S. sends three Guantanamo men home to Bosnia
Source: Reuters

MIAMI, Dec 16 (Reuters) - The United States sent three Algerian-born prisoners to their adopted homeland of Bosnia on Tuesday in the first release under court order from the U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The three were among five Algerians ordered released last month by a U.S. judge who ruled that the Bush administration had failed to support its claim that they planned to travel to Afghanistan to fight U.S. forces in 2001.

The three -- Mustafa Ait Idir, Mohamed Nechla and Hadj Boudella -- landed in Sarajevo, where they were taken into protective custody, said one of their attorneys, Stephen Oleskey.

"We're sure they will all soon be released to their families because there's no basis to hold them," Oleskey said.

2. A small victory for justice...
though it should be a huge embarrassment for the maladministration.

3. Three more "worst of the worst" set free!
How can we protect ourselves with the Bush administration setting these terrorists free?! They're the worst of the worst. Everybody says so. Can we start impeachment proceedings over this, or did the administration have its fingers crossed when it said that everyone at Guantanamo was there because they were the worst of the worst?

5. Probably weren't terrorists
but I wouldn't put it past them to become one. We have a history of creating our own monsters.
