Foreigners gave millions to Clinton foundation
Source: MSNBC.COM

WASHINGTON - Former President Bill Clinton's foundation has raised at least $46 million from Saudi Arabia and other foreign governments that his wife Hillary Rodham Clinton may end up negotiating with as the next secretary of state.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gave $10 million to $25 million to the William J. Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit created by the former president to finance his library in Little Rock, Ark., and charitable efforts to reduce poverty and treat AIDS. Other foreign government givers include Norway, Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei, Oman, Italy and Jamaica. The Dutch national lottery gave $5 million to $10 million.

The Blackwater Training Center donated $10,001 to $25,000. The State Department — to be led by Hillary Clinton if she is confirmed — will have to decide next year whether to renew Blackwater Worldwide's contract to protect U.S. diplomats in Iraq. Five Blackwater guards have been indicted by a U.S. grand jury on manslaughter and weapons charges stemming from a September 2007 firefight in Baghdad's Nisoor Square in which 17 Iraqis died.

I made the mistake of tying Bill Clinton to the DLC in a previous post which was censored and removed by the moderators.

However, this story is important, so I am reposting it without comment in order to enlighten.

1. Wow. That's a lot of personal benefit there.
I mean, taking money from Africans to aid Africans. Gosh golly, why would Bill do that? Or is it you all prefer thinking of the MidEast as part of Asia, rather than Africa? I always see it as Africa.

Do you suppose you could tell us all how much went to the library, which you mentioned first, and how much to treating AIDS and reducing poverty...those petty afterthoughts?

9. I see the Clinton defenders of Light are out in force
Led by the attack on the messenger, who is only following the Money and pointing out the way it infiltrates our Government policy.

The replies to the original post for the most part carefully tiptoe around the fact that Big Business interests are prominently buying favor from the president that brought us the astounding benefits of NAFTA, relaxed regulations on Confirmed Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO'S), Increased Outsourcing and H1B employment, installing Agribusiness schills in the USDA, and an uncanny relationship with chinese donors that haunted his presidency from the start to the end.

Is attacking my Post count, which I remind you goes against the guidelines of posting ettiquette, the best you can do? How about giving us some real thoughts as to why such large sums would be coming in from foreigh Captitol. Are they really that enamored with the bright star that is Bill Clinton to fund a library in his name, while our public libraries suffer cutbacks, reduced hours, and suffer from chronic deficits?

Put in context, if Mr. Obama had not made a stipulation to the Clintons on releasing this data, you would never know, and the Clintons fought very hard to keep this data secret. Now when we finally get a glimpse into the big money flows surrounding our Goverment, some individuals are upset by it, because it paints a rather shady picture of their brand. I have news for you, the Clintons have been under a cloud for a long time, and the old tactic of be-smirching the messenger, quashing the facts, and ourtright attacks will no longer work these days. The Clintons should have learned this when she lost the nomination.

For those that would like to canonize Bill Clinton as some sort of good guy that's looking out for them, I strongly recomend that you do the research yourselves and not fall under the distracting spell that the Clinton supplicants as they try to provide cover for their brand.

People truly do have short memories, and now that Hillary is purportedly to be Secretary of State, the history is systematically being disavowed, obfuscated, attacked as some sort of partisan ploy or other such nonsense.

I'm sure that during negotiations, Hillary and the other attendees can reminisce about her battle tested experience in Bosnia, and other wild stories that give her such a great foundation on which to bargain. Mayber her tenure on the board of WalMart will draw those hostile countries toward her view of Democracy, full of complacent workers, dutifully paying homage to the Corporate masters.

Personally, I tend to see selling out as a major part of the Clinton Modus Operandi, and this greed and power unchecked is a dangerous game in todays world.

Seeing the censorship of negative news when it applies to the Clinton legacy on the Democratic Underground is very worrisome, as it show that some peoples brains are starting to calcify even before Mr. Obama gets started.

The DLC is back, just hiding behind Obama's coattail's. I pray to God that Mr. Obama can control this slimy, primitive bunch of Corporatists.
