3. They NEVER give out the actualy numbers on the first pass
often not on the second or third pass - sometimes not at all.

But NEVER accept the numbers on the first pass.

the past month or so?

The way the Bu*h administration has "redefined" many statistics over the past 8 years, it's difficult to understand what federal statistics actually gauge anymore.
