Senate bid by Jeb Bush iffy, friends say
Source: St. Petersburg Times

Republican excitement over the prospect of Jeb Bush running for U.S. Senate has given way to increasing speculation that the former governor will stay out of the race.

Bush declined to comment for this article but was expected to make an announcement perhaps as early as this week.

Even with his father on national TV Sunday touting Bush as a terrific potential future senator or president, friends say family considerations could outweigh the pull of public service.

Bush may conclude after completing his methodical review process that there are other ways he can help rebuild the GOP besides a Senate career that would take a toll on his consulting business and be difficult for his family.

"I know it's a big struggle for him,'' said former state Republican chairman Al Cardenas, who believes Bush is still undecided. "As his friend I think maybe he's better off where he is. As a Republican who loves his party so much, I know we need him."

2. Oh, please Lord. Please.
That's the one thing I need in life.

Rest assured, if that asshat tries to run for Senate in my state, I will do anything humanly possible to campaign for his opponent.

Senate bid by Jeb Bush iffy, friends say, January 6, 2009

This mean-spirited, vindictive wrecking ball is not cut out for Senate work. It's always been his way or the highway. Just how will he push through his bold educational, tax-cutting agenda as a peon in the Senate? Right now, Jeb is in a pickle. He can't wait any longer to *introduce himself* to America. The GOP is splintering into fiery oblivion, Palin-esque stupidity and a bankruptcy of ideas. Jeb is crack cocaine to the dwindling rabid conservative base, and, with a zealous arrogance, he grasps onto the notion that he is bred to rule.

With that upstart Charlie Crist emulating a moderate, Jeb's political future is vaporizing before his eyes. And his brother and father think they are helping it along.

This family is poison.

And have been for more than fifty years.

Is There a Major Jeb Bush vs. Governor Crist Feud Brewing?

Fair warning: Do not let Jeb Bush slip off the radar. Ever.

6. Old money moderates in his party will insure his loss if he runs.
They don't like him, never did. They have the governorship back now and are still sporting the black-eye dealt by the young turks who bought the party over the last decade. Said turks have lost a lot of credibility of late and there's many in the party that want to keep it that way.

State Republicans were humiliated and pushed aside for decades by the Democrats and to suffer the same by their own has proved too much. Look at Charlie Crist, that's his party's reaction to Jeb Bush.

8. Meme of the Day: The Bush family are a collection of criminal a-holes and
should not be allowed in public service in any capacity.

Repeat often.

9. And ABSOLUTELY jebbie should be watched. CLOSELY.
As though our lives depended on it. Because they DO.

He's a signatory of the PNAC. On its front-page cover letter.

For me, that's all I need to know.

If we DON'T keep close track of this guy, follow his every move, and hound him til we're hoarse, if we let this one slip, if we go back to sleep, if we think it won't make any difference, if we think - oh, he's not so bad - we can live with this 'cause he couldn't possibly be as bad as his fucking fool-ass rat-bastard brother, if we take our eyes off the ball, if we decide to go along to get along with him and his, WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET.

CONSTANT VIGILANCE. With THIS guy, ESPECIALLY.

Sorry to shout, but I'm doing it anyway. It's that important!!! For us here and for us to carry outward to everyone we know and meet. We have to go grassroots, AND viral, on this stealth-schmuck. If he's a bush, he's NO GOOD. And our country CAN'T afford another bush. Not now, not two years from now, not four years from now, not six years from now, not a decade from now, not a LIFETIME from now.
